Rev. Fr. Brenden Humberdross, OPI
The Mission is served by Father Brenden of the Order of Preachers, Independent.
Hi! My name is Fr. Brenden and like many of us I wear many different hats. Each of the hats that I wear contributes to who I am, the things I do and why I think the way that I do.
One of the major things that informs my life is the fact that I’m a Friar of the Order of Preachers, Independent a contemporary religious community spread across the globe. As a Dominican I am committed to maintaining, studying, teaching and preaching the Catholic faith and sharing Christ’s love with all his children regardless of race, gender, sexuality or economic status.
During school hours I can be found at my day job teaching high school children. I have a love and passion for study and have attained a Bachelor and Post Graduate Certificate of Education (USQ) and a Graduate Diploma of Theology (CSU).
I am a father of four wonderful children; though like so many of us, the circumstances of life has meant that they do not live with me.
I look forward to growing the ministry of the Mission of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary to serve the needs of those in my community seeking a welcoming and inclusive faith family rooted firmly in the Catholic tradition.
As a community of the Unified Old Catholic Church we are under the oversight of the Rt. Rev. Michael Beckett, OPI BA MA.
Bishop Michael is not only Presiding Bishop of the UOCC but also Father General of the Order of Preachers, Independent. He serves the Chapel of Saint Dominic’s by the Sea in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A former school teacher, Bishop Michael is active in broadcast ministry, teaching in the St. Thomas Aquinas Institute for Clergy Education, and strives to live his life in accordance with the Dominican charism. He is a firm believer in community, in education, and in spreading the Love of Christ to all. He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC with his partner, Scott, and their Sheltie, Ginger, Standard Poodle, Zoey, and their cat, Mr. Binx.
